Things have been getting a bit tense around here. Some people have been getting way too powerful. And a bunch of other people have been finding it really hard to get by. Worse still, heaps and heaps of people have been dying (largely because of some of those powerful people we just mentioned). And in the not-too-distant future, a lot more of that power is likely going to rest with people who aren’t even people (although – again – those powerful people from the beginning will likely control these non-people-power-wielding things). And that’s just the people (and non-people) – what about other living things? What about the planet? The place just isn’t what it used to be.It kind of feels like we’re at a tipping point. The idea of abandoning the way we currently do things has to be a serious consideration.But does our escape from this ominous future simply rely on us changing what we do and how we do it? Or is it time to make an escape to somewhere else?
